During the Museum’s temporary closure, we are delighted that Omaha Public Library is our host and partner, allowing us to present a modified version of this long-standing and popular program.

Our February Read
The Secret Life of Sunflowers by Marta Molnar

The Secret Life of Sunflowers by Marta Molnar offers a dual timeline story, inspired by the artist Vincent van Gogh’s family history. In the present day, auctioneer Emsley Wilson is trying to manage her business problems while cleaning out her beloved grandmother’s brownstone in New York. Emsley finds a diary and letters and learns about the life of Johanna van Gogh, Vincent van Gogh’s sister-in-law, and how she was drawn into her husband’s quest to bring recognition to his struggling artist brother. This novel connects the stories of two passionate, creative women across time.

Reservation is closed.

Looking Ahead
On Wednesday, April 10, join us to explore The Friday Night Club, a novel about artist Hilma af Klint and her creative circle, written by Sofia Lundberg, Alyson Richman, and M.J. Rose.

Visualizing Literature is a Joslyn Around Town program.
