September 25 An Evening with Susan Stamberg
Program begins at 7 PM in Joslyn's Witherspoon Concert Hall; VIP Reception follows in the Founder's Room

KIOS 91.5 FM, in partnership with Joslyn Art Museum, is pleased to present an evening with nationally renowned broadcast journalist Susan Stamberg, a special correspondent for National Public Radio (NPR).

The event is held as part of KIOS' 50th anniversary festivities and will celebrate the rich history of public broadcasting viewed from the unique perspective of one of NPR's "founding mothers."

The first woman to anchor a national nightly news program, Stamberg has won every major award in broadcasting, and has been inducted into both the Broadcasting Hall of Fame and the Radio Hall of Fame. Stamberg has been on staff since the network began in 1971. One of the most popular broadcasters in public radio, Stamberg is well known for her conversational style, intelligence, and knack for finding an interesting story. Her thousands of interviews include conversations with Laura Bush, Billy Crystal, Rosa Parks, Dave Brubeck, and Luciano Pavarotti. Prior to joining NPR, she served as producer, program director, and general manager of NPR Member Station WAMU0FM/Washington, DC. Stamberg is the author of Talk: NPR's Susan Stamberg Considers All Things and Every Night at Five: Susan Stamberg's All Things Considered Book.

A special VIP Reception with Susan Stamberg, which is now sold out, will be held immediately after the program the evening of her appearance. Tickets must be reserved in advance for the VIP Reception, which includes light hors d'oeuvres, wine, and beer in Joslyn's Founder's Room and preferred seating for the 7 pm talk.
