Join us in the galleries for a look at The Art of Seating through expert
eyes. Interior Designer Nancy Novak and Architect Ryan Fisher, both
with Alley Poyner Macchietto Architecture, will walk guests through the
exhibition while discussing the nature of outstanding design.

Nancy Novak's interior design experience includes a variety of responsibilities, including programming, space planning, budget development, furnishings, finish selection and specification, and project management. Nancy specializes in library design and has helped create award-winning spaces in municipalities and universities across the country. In an outdated space, Nancy sees only opportunity. She strives to create design that fosters an innovative, low-stress, and healthy atmosphere. Nancy is an LEED Accredited and holds National Coalition for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) Certification.
A graduate of Iowa State University,
Ryan Fisher's education opened his eyes to modern Midwestern beauty, pragmatism, and constructability. Since then, he has continued an interest in the connections between modern architecture, industrial fabrication, and both emerging and traditional construction techniques. Ryan believes architecture can be innovative without being difficult to realize or construct, and believes simplicity is the key to making this happen. In both 2014 and 2015 his work was recognized with multiple AIA Nebraska Design Awards for Emerging Architects.
No advance registration required, however, space is limited and tickets will be issued on a first come, first served basis. This program is FREE for members; special Thursday evening ticket pricing $5 for general public adults.
