Joslyn welcomes Pratik Rayamajhi as culinary collaborator for the New American Dish project. Staff from the Museum's Cafe Durham will work alongside Rayamajhi to feature a signature dish highlighting the flavors of this home country of Nepal. The week of World Refugee Day, plan to purchase this special meal offered in the Cafe, with ten percent of the dish's proceeds benefiting Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska.

Rayamajhi is from the Siraha district in Southeast Nepal. he received his graduate degree in fine arts form Sir J.J. College in Bombay, India. Pratik has been teaching and sharing his love for traditional Mithila folk art painting for over 20 years; his work was displayed at Joslyn as part of the New American Exchange series in 2017. Pratik and his family arrived in the United States in 2008.
