December 10 Hispanic Cultural Festival: Faith & Family
2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Join us on Sunday, December 10, from 2-4 pm for the Hispanic Cultural Festival: Faith and Family!

Open and free for all, this program includes dance performances by the Mexican Dance Academy of Nebraska, art-making activities, gallery conversations in Spanish, dance lessons, and refreshments.

Fall 2017. Two levels of the University of Nebraska Omaha's (UNO) Spanish language classes taught by Dr. Cecilia Tocaimaza-Hatch will plan, produce, and market the Festival as part of a service-learning project. Students are researching and preparing to have gallery conversations, about selected artworks from Joslyn's collection, with our Spanish-speaking community. Additionally, students are creating a bilingual gallery guide featuring the Spanish Colonial Gallery as well artworks with a Hispanic connection.

This project is in partnership with UNO's Service Learning Academy, OLLAS, and Department of Foreign Languages and Literature.
