Planned Giving

Like the Museum’s founder, Sarah Joslyn, many loyal supporters of Joslyn Art Museum choose to honor the institution and enhance their communities with legacy gifts. Whether your intentions are to make provisions for an organization that is meaningful to you in your estate plan, eliminate taxes, or benefit from an increased income stream, there is a gift to fit every objective.

By including Joslyn Art Museum in your estate plan, you leave a legacy for future generations to experience culture, education and entertainment through the visual arts. You also automatically become a member of Joslyn’s planned giving society.

A gift to the Museum from your will or trust is one of the simplest ways to benefit the future of Joslyn Art Museum.  There are also a variety of fiscal planning tools such as a charitable gift annuity, charitable lead trust, charitable remainder trust, life insurance, gifts of retirement plans and other assets that offer tax incentives and benefits to encourage charitable giving.

You can direct your gift to support specific areas of the Museum through the Museum's endowment funds. Click here to learn more about endowment opportunities. Or you can set up your own named fund.

If you have included or intend to include Joslyn Art Museum in your estate plans, please notify us by filling out our non-binding planned gift pledge form and sending it to the Development Department at the Museum (see contact information below).  We will then be able to acknowledge your intentions and welcome you as a member to our Planned Giving Society.

Joslyn Art Museum strongly encourages prospective donors to seek the advice of independent tax or financial advisor(s) in the gift planning process. If you have any questions or would like to further discuss your gift plans, please contact the Museum by phone at (402) 661-3883, via email, or inquiries may be mailed to:
