Fact and Fiction in Contemporary Photography

Photography met the twenty-first century in a precarious position—more ubiquitous than at any point in its history, yet fundamentally less believable. Ranging from images exposed on film and printed in a darkroom to compositions assembled from multiple digital captures, these images subvert our assumptions about photography in surprising ways.

Fact and Fiction is organized by Joslyn Art Museum. Presenting Sponsor: Douglas County; Major Sponsor: Omaha Steaks; Contributing Sponsor: Mutual of Omaha; Supporting Sponsor: Robert H. Storz Foundation; Additional support provided by Nebraska Arts Council/Nebraska Cultural Endowment.

This exhibition has been extended following Joslyn's pandemic-related closure and is now free to all. Free timed tickets are required for all Museum visitors.
