Postwar & Contemporary

The Pavilion galleries of contemporary art illuminate the trajectory of postwar art at Joslyn. The centerpiece of the collection is Jackson Pollock’s magnificent 1947 canvas Galaxy, which is complemented by paintings, sculpture, and digital projection by artists including George Segal, Helen Frankenthaler, Tom Wesselmann, Ross Bleckner, Roger Shimomura, Frank Stella, Donald Judd, Sol Le Witt, Martin Puryear, and Jennifer Steinkamp. The Pavilion galleries also feature periodic rotations of Joslyn’s impressive holdings of prints and other works on paper.
