Internships

At this time, there are no internship opportunities available at Joslyn Art Museum. The Museum will be closed to the public from May 2, 2022, through early 2024.

Joslyn Art Museum interns work closely with experienced and enthusiastic staff on projects related to the Museum's permanent collection and public programs. Internships may include opportunities to participate in these areas of Museum operations: curatorial, collections, education, outreach, development, membership, and marketing.
Some positions are offered regularly – Arts Education Intern (with Joslyn's Kent Bellows Mentoring Program), Development/Membership Intern, Scott EdTech Gallery Intern, Studio Instructor Intern while others are subject to special projects and seasonal needs of the Museum. Successful candidates will be highly motivated, flexible, have excellent communication skills, and a strong interest in learning more about museums and the non-profit community. A background in art history, art education, or studio art will be desirable for most positions.

All Museum internships are non-paid. College credit may be available depending upon the requirements of the university. Some require successful completion of a background check.

To apply, send a resume and cover letter indicating your internship preference to internships@joslyn.org.
