NEWS & EVENTS

Joslyn is working to elevate and amplify perspectives that historically have been underrepresented in the galleries. With OMAHA SPEAKS, we look to broaden the conventional interpretation of objects in our permanent collection by introducing commentary from leaders in our community.
First Weekend Extended Friday Hours
By popular demand, the Museum will be open from 10 am to 8 pm the first Friday of each month to allow guests to extend their visit, make Joslyn their date night destination, or drop by on their way to and from other arts and culture happenings around town. First weekend of the month? Start with art!  Visit 10 am to 8 pm on these Fridays in 2021: April 2, May 7, June 4, July 2, August 6, September 3, November 5, and December 3 (no extended hours on Friday, October 1). Timed tickets required.
Now in Joslyn's Riley CAP Gallery—a site-specific installation by Wendy Red Star that engages the history of the 1898 Indian Congress, an unprecedented convening of over thirty Native American tribes during Nebraska’s Trans-Mississippi Exposition, and investigates the Apsáalooke and Indigenous histories of Omaha.
