Drawing, painting, pottery, printmaking, sculpture, and more! Year-round classes held at Joslyn and summer camps - just for teens! - held at Creighton University. Advance registration and payment required; scholarships are available. Click here to see adult & teen classes.

Art Mentoring
The Kent Bellows Mentoring Program matches high school students with professional artist mentors in a weekly studio practice that encourages exploration, observation, thinking, and creating. Program meets at the Kent Bellows Studio, 33rd and Leavenworth St. Participation is by application; summer 2015 applications due April 13; sliding-scale tuition fees apply.

JAMbassadors are teen volunteers who work behind-the scenes and who help Museum Teachers, kids, and families at art classes and special events. Applications due October 1 for 2015-16.

Lock-in style event for teens to work with local artists in small groups and on a collaborative mural. Pizza and music, too! Free.

Omaha Fashion Week Student Night

Runway show featuring collections by Kent Bellows Mentoring Program, Omaha Central High School, and 4-H students. Tickets are required but free for students with ID at omahafashionweek.com

Louder Than a Bomb Youth Poetry Festival
April 8 @ 5:30 & 7:30 pm @ Joslyn
Kent Bellows Mentoring Program is fielding its first poetry program and the enrolled students will compete in LTaB, a youth festival that aims to increase poetry appreciation through participation. Two semi-final bouts will be held at Joslyn. Complete schedule at ltabomaha.org.

See the Spring 2014 students’ culminating exhibition of multidisciplinary works. Free to all; exhibition continues through May 23.
