Public Docent-Guided Tours

Enhance your visit to Joslyn with a docent-guided tour. Public tours are available on a walk-in basis:

    Wednesdays @ 1 pm
  
    Select Thursdays @ 6:30 pm 
    Saturdays @ 10:30 am
    Sundays @ 1 pm
    

Additional dates and times are added during select special exhibitions. All public tours are FREE of charge and designed for individual visitors or groups of nine or less. For more information on public tour times and topics, please check our monthly calendar of events.



Stroller Tours

Joslyn presents docent-guided tours designed for moms, dads, and caregivers to look at and talk about art, with little ones along in arms and strollers. Gather in Joslyn's Conagra Brands Atrium at 9:30 am for complimentary pastries and refreshments, then head to the galleries for a 10 am tour that will keep you up-to-date on the Museum's permanent collection and exciting special exhibitions. Tandem strollers and crying babies welcome!

Private Adult Group Tours

Do you have a group of 10 or more adults? Experience the Museum with a private docent-guided tour of an an area of the permanent collection or special exhibition of your choice. 

Fee for docent-guided tour for adults:
    Reservation for 10–25 visitors: $50
    26–50: $100
    51–75: $150
    76–100: $200

Guided tours should be scheduled online four weeks in advance. Reservations are not firm until e-mail confirmation is received from Joslyn. To arrange for a tour, please complete the reservation form below.

Self-Guided Group Visits

Self-guided group visits are offered free of charge, however, groups of 10 or more should make reservations online four weeks in advance. Reservations are not firm until e-mail confirmation is received from Joslyn. To arrange a self-guided group visit, please complete the reservation form below.

We've pieced together the perfect Museum excursion for your group! For $25 per person, enjoy a leisurely self-guided tour of Pattern and Purpose: American Quilts from the Shelburne Museum (October 6, 2018–January 6, 2019), a tasty boxed lunch in Café Durham*, and a 10% discount on must-have merchandise in Joslyn's Hitchcock Museum Shop. All Museum galleries will be open for your exploration. For an additional $50 per group, a docent will present an illuminating guided tour of the exhibition or permanent collection. *Choose a beef, ham, turkey, chicken salad, or tuna salad sandwich on a variety of bread options or vegetarian caprese tortilla wrap – all served with seasonal fruit, salad du jour, and gourmet cookie – OR a classic chef's salad served with roll and cookie. All lunches include coffee/iced tea/water service.



Café Durham

Café Durham provides delicious lunches by Abraham Catering in the expansive glass-enclosed Conagra Brands Atrium. Reserved seating may be arranged when scheduling a group visit. Café a la carte menu or special, pre-ordered lunches are available for groups. To reserve a room for a private dining experience, please contact Joslyn’s Events Department.
