In 1888, art collector George W. Lininger began amassing a large and exceptional collection of fine art that became the cornerstone of what is now the permanent collection of Joslyn Art Museum.

Joslyn's Executive and Curatorial Assistant Brooke Masek shares the history of Nebraska's largest art museum, including the development of Joslyn's collection and its connection to Omaha Public Library in this public talk "Building a Collection for the Community: The History of Joslyn Art Museum's Collection."
