January 13 Community Day with Snøhetta
1–4 pm

Representatives from Joslyn's selected architectural firm, Snøhetta, and local partner Alley Poyner Macchietto Architecture will be on hand conducting a drop-in, public workshop. Stop by any time during the event to enjoy guided activities designed to give our architects public feedback important to Joslyn’s recently-announced expansion project.

Activities will include opportunities to write (or draw!) about your favorite past Joslyn experiences and also imagine our future. Large renderings of the Museum will allow participants to “map” their typical visit . . . where do you go inside the Museum, what do you skip, and why? During a fun image exercise, guests will be invited to react to various pictures (like or dislike and why). And our youngest participants will work with colorful wooden shapes to showcase their vision of Joslyn’s new building.

We estimate about 20 minutes to take part in the activities, but stay as long as you like. Complimentary light refreshments will be served. Advance registration is encouraged. Bring a friend!
