September 15 Thursdays for Teachers
4:30–7:30 pm

Thursdays for Teachers (#JOSLYNteachers) is free for all Omaha metro area and western Iowa schools. Sessions are held 4:30–7:30 pm at Joslyn Art Museum. Teachers engage in special training and receive teaching posters as well as materials to integrate art across the disciplines. Lesson plans, classroom activities, and support materials for sessions are available online. Each semester, schools receive a high-quality framed reproduction of Joslyn's best-loved artworks to display in their schools.

REGISTRATION OPENS SEPTEMBER 8 AT 9 AM

2016–2017 SCHOOL YEAR

Since Thursdays for Teachers launched in 2007, area educators have discovered and received resources for over 40 different artworks in Joslyn’s permanent collection. Teachers voted for Season 10's featured artworks. As an added twist to the program, each “Greatest Hit” will be paired with a complementary or contrasting artwork to encourage a lively dialogue at each session. The surprise artwork will be revealed one week prior to each session when registration (required as seating is limited) opens.

To receive more information, call (402) 661-3847 or click here to e-mail Joslyn's Director of School Programs & Interactive Media.
