If pulse and breath were to be found in paint on canvas, the works of Stephen Mueller would be counted among the living entities in our world. With their delicate harmonies of preternatural color and form, they have an atmosphere presence that virtually throbs on the wall. An abstract painter based in New York City for many years now, Mueller has had a career measured by metamorphosing forms of personal and stylistic expression and by consistency of production and exhibition.
