Clay Vessels

Saturdays: March 29, April 5, 12, 19, 26, May 3; 10 am-noon

Make pots as they did thousands of years ago in this class that will teach basic hand-building techniques and provide a chance to experience throwing clay on the wheel. An exhibition of antiquities will guide us as we learn to construct functional clay forms and use red and black slip to design patterns and heroic narratives. You will have an opportunity to help fire the pots in a true wood-burning kiln in the Museum’s sculpture garden.
