Black & White Photography: Documenting a Theme; Teens & Adults

Black & White Photography: Documenting a Theme
Sunday: April 8; noon-3:30 pm
Joslyn Members: $44.20; General Public $52

With a nod to Ed Ruscha’s photography collections of Los Angeles apartment buildings and gas stations, often assembled into books, this photo workshop will encourage students to notice commonalties found along Omaha’s 24th Street. Students will be guided on the basics of digital black and white photography and challenged to look for recurring objects, architecture, and themes found from one end of 24th Street to the other. Transportation provided. Those interested in assembling their photographs into a book are encouraged to register for Bookmaking: Accordion Books. Students need to bring a digital camera or smart phone.
Instructor: Joe Addison
