Ancient Ceramics

First class will meet at Joslyn for a tour of Poseidon and the Sea then move to Omaha Clay Works for an orientation. All other classes held at Omaha Clay Works.
 

Gain insight to the ancient process of building, designing, and firing clay in this class that will draw inspiration from antiquities in the Poseidon exhibition. Follow the model of ancient potters as you learn to create traditional red & black pottery using hand-building techniques. Students will have the opportunity to experience the potter’s wheel and to participate in the process of firing work in a wood fire kiln.

Art Class Refunds
Classes are subject to minimum and maximum enrollment. Joslyn’s refund policy is as follows: 50% refund for cancellations made up to two weeks prior to the class start date; no refunds for cancellations made less than two weeks before a class begins; full refund for classes cancelled by the Museum.
