Joslyn teams up with Doodle 4 Google™ — a national competition that encourages young people to create their own Google doodle — to display the Nebraska finalist doodles at the Museum,
May 26–September 2, 2012 (free with regular Museum admission).
This year’s theme is “If I could travel in time, I’d visit . . . ” Doodle 4 Google gave students a blank canvas to harness their curiosity and imagine the past, present, or future anywhere in the world. Doodles were submitted to Google in March and after review by a team of Googlers and guest judges — including recording artist Katy Perry, Phineas and Ferb creator and executive producer Jeff “Swampy” Marsh, children’s book illustrator Mo Willems, and others — the top doodles were put to an online public vote, May 2–10. The first prize doodle was showcased on google.com on
May 18.
You’re invited! Visit Joslyn to see the top 10 Nebraska doodles, beginning May 26. And join us on
Thursdays, July 5 and August 2, 5-8 pm, for Doodle Parties! We’ll have lots of drawing materials ready and waiting for you, so stop by and let your imagination run wild! Free with regular Museum admission.
