Joslyn’s Kent Bellows Mentoring project is so happy to be working with the young people at Project Everlast, a statewide, youth-led initiative committed to providing resources, connections and support to young adults as they age out of foster care. Maggie Weber, a KBMP alumna and current mentor is putting her excellent mural skills to work in a collaborative effort: she and a team of youth from Project Everlast worked to generate ideas for their mural, pulling together the theme of “Metamorphosis.” They created imagery that symbolizes transformation, connection, lightness, love, and growth. Their vision for transformation is a beautiful sunrise filled with living things, plants, water, and books. We are looking forward to seeing the completed mural, and wish the young people at Project Everlast the very best in navigating their journeys.
