Joslyn Art Museum - The Annual Fund

The Museum has served local and regional audiences by developing a permanent collection that surveys the history of art from antiquity to the present, by presenting outstanding special exhibitions from collections and museums around the world, and by providing widely acclaimed art classes and programs for families and children.

Annual giving provides an important foundation for daily learning and exploring that takes place at Joslyn Art Museum. Your gift of unrestricted income provides support for turning on the lights, opening the doors, and welcoming visitors daily. The annual fund supports all activities of the Museum from presenting special exhibitions and providing educational programs to preserving and growing our collection. Some examples of what the Fund for Joslyn will support are:

• $1,360 a day to keep the lights on in the Museum
• $6 per student to participate in Art for All (program supporting free admission and transportation for school tours)
• $250 per painting to assess its conservation needs

Directed Gifts

As Joslyn embarks on its 75th anniversary year, it plans to reinvigorate and transform itself into an even more dynamic "gathering place" for today's diverse local and regional audience, whose expectations of our institution have changed with the new demographic, economic and social changes that our city and region have experienced. If you would like to designate how your donation is used, the following categories provide some reference to guide your selection:

75th - Provide for unique anniversary year programming

Acquisitions - Assist the Museum with the purchase of a new acquisition, allowing the Museum to expand its permanent collection from Antiquity to the present

Conservation - Join our efforts to preserve our extraordinary permanent collection

Education - Pass on the gift of knowledge which continues to give for a life-time

Music - Music to our ears, music plays a significant role in Joslyn Art Museum programming, beginning with the first concert over 75 years ago

Publications - Support Joslyn's on-going scholarship

Special Exhibitions - Promote Joslyn's mission regarding visual art by supporting upcoming exhibitions
