Joslyn Art Museum presents year-round studio classes for toddlers through adults – including weekday drop-in classes, art camps, weekend and evening series, a 24-week Art School for students in grades 1-9, and more. Joslyn classes offer a unique studio experience using Museum collections and exhibitions as the springboard for art-making. Enroll in an art class today to begin your exploration into drawing, painting, pottery, printmaking, sculpture, and more!

Art Adventures

Drop by with your preschooler to see artworks in the galleries and to do a simple art-making activity. Art Adventures is a great way for young artists to have their first Museum experiences - with a grown-up by their side - before coming to art classes on their own.

IMPORTANT NOTES

Registration & Refunds

Advance registration and full payment is required for all classes except Art Adventures. Classes are subject to minimum and maximum enrollment, so please register at least one week in advance. You may register on-line or by calling (402) 342-3300. Joslyn's refund policy is as follows: 50% refund for cancellations made up to two weeks prior to the class start date; no refunds for cancellations made less than two weeks before a class begins. All materials are provided.

Art Class Scholarships
Thanks to a special fund established by Mrs. Louise Wickstrum, the family of David S. and Bella Block, and the Joslyn Art Museum Association, financial assistance may be available for class enrollment. If a child's or adult's participation is dependent upon financial aid, please submit a completed scholarship application or call (402) 342-3300 ext. 251 with questions. All requests will be held in confidence.

 

Riley Gallery reception

Student Art Display
The Riley Education Gallery, located near the Museum's classrooms, features artworks by children and adults in Joslyn's classes. Four times each year a selection of new work is displayed. Stop by to see what our students are doing!

Photography
Joslyn will occasionally photograph students in classes for use in promotional materials, including the Museum's website. If you do not want you or your child to be photographed, please notify Joslyn's Criss Center for Education in writing.
