Named one of the "10 Best Art Museums for Kids" in the nation by Child magazine, Joslyn Art Museum welcomes young visitors and offers a variety of opportunities to engage busy hands and minds every day!
SmART Start
Explore Joslyn's permanent collection galleries with an eye-catching set of cards designed to help families find and learn about 15 "favorite" artworks. SmART Start cards are available for check-out at the admissions desks and at the Scott EdTech Gallery located on the lower level of the Memorial building.
Learn about art by exploring the computers, watching a video, reading a book, or playing a game. This is a great place to begin your Museum visit or a comfortable spot to take a break. Located on the lower level of the Memorial building.
Check out an Art Pack filled with hands-on objects, scavenger hunts, and kid-friendly discussion starters to make learning in the galleries extra fun! Pick up an Art Pack in the Scott EdTech Gallery located on the lower level of the Memorial building. Try all nine themes!

Kids Can Do Art
Stop by this oversized "tin can" that opens to reveal simple hands-on activities, books, and games related to artworks on view in the galleries. Kids Can Do Art is located on the Stauss Bridge of the ConAgra Foods Atrium.
Enroll in a studio art class to experience drawing, painting, printmaking, and pottery - all inspired by Joslyn's collections and exhibitions. Classes are held in the Cooper Foundation and Masterson Classrooms on the lower level of the Memorial building. Search for a complete list of classes and register on-line.

- Story Adventures - pre-school programs with Omaha Public Library - Wednesdays: February 20, March 19, April 16, May 21; 10:30 am
- Picture This! - story-making programs around artworks in the collection, led by Rita Paskowitz - Saturdays: February 16, March 15, April 19, May 17; 10:30 am
- Family Fun Day - a celebration of Elegance of the Qing Court: Reflections of a Dynasty through its Art - including a performance by the Lion Dancers from Lincoln's Asian Community Center, an interactive Tai Chi workshop with Frank Fong, a Chinese cooking demonstration by Creighton University's Maorong Jiang, art-making, and more! - April 27, 1-4 pm
